Listen: First Aid Kit

The two Swedish sisters who stole our hearts by uploading their cover of Fleet Foxes' 'Tiger Mountain Peasant Song' to YouTube in 2008 have just released their sophomore album, titled The Lion's Roar. Johanna and Klara Söderberg of Swedish duo First Aid Kit have exploded over the past few years and we, for one, are very excited that they will be visiting our fair land once again this year. Touring Australia for Golden Plains and WOMAdelaide, the duo will surely wow crowds once again with their sisterly harmonies and easy-on-the-ears country-folk sounds. 

At his personal request, First Aid Kit recently recorded a song with Jack White in his Nashville studio and last month the duo moved Patti Smith to tears with their rendition of her song 'Dancing Barefoot'. If they're good enough for Jack and Patti, they're good enough for us! 

Personal favourites off The Lion's Roar include the title track and 'Emmylou'. This is one record definitely worth a spin.
